Mullins Bay beaches on the West coast of Barbados are suffering serious erosion, recent swells have left the area with no beach and severe damage to land adjoining the beach, many of the beach front properties are now at risk of being swamped by the sea, most badly affected is the stretch between 'Mullins' beach and 'Kings' beach.A high end apartment block developer is being blamed for installing several groins out into the sea in front of the property to trap sand in order to restore their own beach, which has resulted in neighbouring beaches being destroyed. Local residents and tourists alike are organising a campaign to save these well loved beaches before it is too late.
